Artist, Sara Riches
Hello and Welcome, my name is Sara Riches, I’m an Aboriginal Artist and Muralist based in Perth, Western Australia. My artistic practice is deeply rooted in the celebration and sharing of the rich cultural heritage of my ancestral lands of the Ngadju, Wangkatja and Esperance Nyungar people.

I grew up in Norseman, Esperance and Kalgoorlie; and was fortunate enough to spend time with my Elders and learn about all aspects of culture. I’ve always had a strong passion to create art, engrained in me since I was a child; as I would sit down on country with my family who were artists and soak up the knowledge that they would share with me.

Through my creations, I strive to showcase the beauty and importance of Aboriginal traditions and stories. Each piece serves as a reflection of my heritage, inviting viewers to engage with and appreciate the rich narratives woven into the artwork.
